~ The Cast ~
Carissa Gaghan - Played by Ben (LongLiveOlmec)
Most well-known for his performances as Ghoulia in AniMunny 2 and All-Stars, Ben is an ORG veteran. He does, however, show some lack of interest in the game, as he nearly rescinded his acceptance into the game upon being announced of casting, but thought to give it a try and play anyway. Ben usually is very good socially and has a laid back, friendly personality which makes him well-liked. Challenge-wise, he isn't the strongest, but Ben tends to be a decently loyal player and easily likable and approachable. If he finds himself in a good spot early, he could coast.
Why She'll Win: Who doesn't love Carissa? She's adorable and inherently likable just by being 9 years old. Carissa also, if he plays well socially, should go deep into the game. I don't see Carissa being a backstabbing presence in the game, and could have people leaving the game with a positive taste in their mouths about her.
Why She Won't: Carissa has mentioned before that she doesn't seem super excited to play. If her apathy carries over into her gameplay, she could be an early exit, as she is on a strong tribe with a lot of ORG veterans.
Clint Black - Played by Kenny (AIM Hidden)
This is an old friend of mine from way back. I've known him since I was about 14 years old, when we both used to post as members of an AOL Message Boards community about baseball. Yeah, real far back. Kenny is a pretty laid-back and intelligent guy, even if his political beliefs are somewhat misguided, that doesn't change who he is as a person. I convinced to give this ORG a try because Clint and I used to play a Sports Trivia game over AIM which is virtually the equivalent of a mini. He had been craving playing them for old time's sake, so I invited him into this. Clint is new to games and new to Survivor, so he isn't quite sure what he's doing yet. However, he is likable and approachable, so if he stays active early and gets into a good alliance, he could go deep and possibly win. One thing going against him, however, is that he is on a tribe full of very experienced players, so he is going to have to play on a pretty high level if he is to outwit, outplay, and outlast his tribemates.
Why He'll Win: He's an interesting guy and likable. He's also on a tribe that I think he will mesh with easily.
Why He Won't: He is new to games, and he is on a very experienced tribe. He will have to be wise and make sure to play well or he will be out of his league.
John Cochran - Played by Marshall (M2009tank)
Marshall. Oh, what can't we say about Marshall? Brony extraordinaire, and just about the sweetest kid you'll ever meet. That said, he is a bit naive and still learning how to properly play Survivor. Additionally, he always takes on the character he is playing, so I'm very interested to see how he plays Cochran. That said, he may be in trouble early if he doesn't make a good impression. Either way, I see Marshall as a lukewarm but entertaining presence in the game while he is in it. Marshall is a sweet kid but has a very bad habit of revealing way too much information to too many people. That information usually gets around and burns him or people close to him.
Why He'll Win: Honestly, I don't see him winning. I feel bad saying that, and he's gonna be hurt when he sees this at game's end, but I don't see him winning. I hope he surprises me, but I don't see it. HIs best chance is to find an alliance that is loyal to him, ride it to the end, and hope he was the puppet master of it.
Why He Won't: He is good in challenges, so I see him lasting till merge. However, I don't see him lasting much farther than that as he will eventually say something that burns him and gets him sent home.
Colin Guinn - Played by Angi (ValTylerFan)
A great friend of mine, Angi, and a great player. I absolutely love her character choice here. Colin is a wild crazy character and Angi isn't that. She is usually extremely loyal and sadly that is usually her downfall in games. I am hoping her being under alias will allow her to be a little less undyingly loyal to people and let her truly play the great game I know she can. She should go far as she is strong in challenges and extremely likable. I see her as a big threat to win, and a commanding presence in the game.
Why He'll Win: Colin usually gets into a solid majority alliance rather easily, and is strong in challenges. I'm pretty sure he is going to last a decent amount of time. If his alliance gains control, he'll likely be the figurehead.
Why He Won't: His loyalty is equally his strength as is his weakness. If he aligns with duplicitous people, which he has done in the past, this will be a quick end for Colin.
Cyndi Lauper - Played by Sherry (KCLadyLee)
LOVE me some Sherry. Sherry is usually a solid social player and a lukewarm presence in games. Fun to talk to and has a good sense of humor. I'm also dying for someone to annoy her with her poor grammar and for her to just go off. Cyndi is usually very loyal to alliances, as Colin is. She has a sound strategic mind, however, and usually will not do foolish things to get her in trouble. I see Cyndi being a lukewarm presence in this game as she normally is, finishing mid-to-late jury. Her mouth can sometimes be her downfall, though, so we'll see if it is here.
Why She'll Win: Because girls just want to have fun and Sherry should definitely make a good Cyndi. People will probably gravitate toward her early on because of her challenge strength and overall friendly demeanor. If she gets to the end she should be a jury threat.
Why She Won't: Much like Colin, if she ends up on the wrong side of numbers, she doesn't have the deception skills nor the ability to convince people to help her when they shouldn't.
Eddie Fox - Played by Rob (UBlazRob)
UBlaz! One of the truly great players in ORGs and one of the true masterminds of alias. Rob has won many great games, has a great, cynical sense of humor, and is the complete package. He is highly intelligent, very cunning, and usually very well-liked. It is rare when I see Rob play poorly in a game. He can also employ a wide array of strategies. Out of all of the players in this game, Rob may be the early favorite to win if he puts his all into it, which I think he will.
Why He'll Win: Because he is the complete package. One of the true "Triple-Threats" in this cast. Especially under the veil of an alias, I see Eddie going very deep into the game. Strategically, I definitely think he is the best. Socially, he may not be, but strategically he can run laps around the rest of these.
Why He Won't: He is a bit full of himself. This can rub people the wrong way. If he lets it go to his head, he may be voted out or lose in a jury vote if he gets a swelled head.
Elavia Bello - Alias Hidden
Elavia specifically asked me to keep her Identity a secret even from PWs. However, I can tell you that the person playing Elavia is another big threat to win this game if she overcomes her early inactivity due to real life obligations. Elavia is strategically savvy, has a great read on the casts usually. and is usually pretty savvy in all types of challenges. I definitely think Elavia is a big threat to win this game and her first Confessional makes me want a lot more of her before this game is over. She's got a great sense of humor, dry wit, and a fun personality. I'm so glad she showed up, because I don't think anyone could've written a better first DR than she did.
Why She'll Win: She is socially excellent, and can definitely fake it up with the best of them. Elavia has a way of speaking to people that make people trust her even when they should not. I expect great things from her.
Why She Won't: Elavia is not on a tribe of easily manipulable people, and if she tries to manipulate people, she might be unsuccessful and cut in her prime before she can reach her full potential.
Fatima Siad - Played by Bo (Nemle22)
Most commonly seen as a host, Bo can definitely bring the goods as a player as well, and I am definitely excited to watch him work from behind an alias. Bo is good socially, but he is best at persuading others to do what he wants them to, even when it doesn't benefit them. Bo is also an extremely intelligent person and I expect him to use his intelligence to advance him through the game. I see him making late jury.
Why She'll Win: She's another triple threat, as she is excellent at all types of challenges, likely from having done just about every time as a host, good strategically as he has a good head on his shoulders, and solid socially.
Why She Won't: Bo can sometimes be oversensitive and take these things to heart, as he is passionate and puts his all into games. Sadly while this is an admirable quality, it does rub some people the wrong way.
Frederique van der Wal - Played by Alina (AlinaClaire79)
Also known as Azula from Munny 13, Jaclyn from The Survivor Games. Alina is a blast to talk to when she tries and is a really cool person. I mean, she took Frederique because I asked her to, not because she wanted her, and she was willing to do that. I want to see Alina do well. I expect her to, quite honestly. She's a good mix of social, strategic, and physical, but not excellent in any category, which makes her a big threat to win.
Why She'll Win: She's sociable and personable enough to get into everyone's good graces and gain everyone's trust, but not intimidating enough to be targeted or taken out by anyone. That's a great combination.
Why She Won't: Frederique's interest level can sometimes fluctuate, and she sometimes will have difficulty making a lot of effort to meet people if she doesn't feel intellectually stimulated.
GinaMarie Zimmerna - Played by Taira (Tlupfer2010)
AKA Rainbow Dash from AniMunny14 AKA the girlfriend of ORGer survivortikihunk. Taira is a rather sociable person and easy to get along with and talk to, largely because she's very sweet and silly. However, she isn't super strong in challenges and she also ins't super great strategically, as she tends to latch onto an alliance and just ride it out even if she knows it won't take her far. Fortunately for her, however, she is on th weakest tribe in the game on paper, so perhaps she can flourish.
Why She'll Win: Because she is easy to talk to and never really targeted. People will like her and I don't think she'll ever do anything that will leave a bitter taste in people's mouths.
Why She Won't: To put it plainly, she is out of her league in this cast. I see her being a late Pre-Jury exit or early Jury exit, but that's about her ceiling. Great person, decent player, but not when compared to the players she is playing against here.
Grant Mattos - Played by Alex (BigNBlackTeddyBear)
Alex Stein! Always a favorite of mine. Also known as That White Guy Who Loves Playing as Black People, the Three-Time Can You Survive Champion, and Ted Rogers, the Sausage player and SBB host. Alex usually plays Survivor pretty well, asserting himself as an asset on his tribe due to challenge strength and making two or three very strong bonds to get her to the jury. ALex also likes doing politically incorrect shticks, and while I love them, not everyone does. He intends to play a caveman shtick this season while secretly being a strategic mastermind.
Why He'll Win: Because his shtick is fucking awesome if it works. A caveman who is the criminal mastermind? Would be ingenious if it works.
Why He Won't: IF his tribe doesn't take kindly to his shtick, he will be tossed aside quickly.
Ian Terry - Played by David (No AIM)
David...AKA one of my new BFFs for life. I met him in a Facebook ORG where I was the third team eliminated (First eliminated in a regular way), and I met him as I was recruiting for my ORG. I was immediately attracted to his intelligence from a personal standpoint. I found out as I got to know him that he is essentially a child prodigy and extremely intelligent. With that, however, comes some social shyness and some uncertainties about himself. He told me he plans to try and get a "Quack Pack" going and ride it to the end. We'll see if it works out for him.
Why He'll Win: Because he's extremely intelligent and infectiously likable.
Why He Won't: This is his first AIM ORG and Proboards ORG. He has done all his past games on Facebook, so there will be a learning curve for him in this process. He is on a tribe with very experienced players, so he will need to be at the top of his game right away.
Jen Johnson - Played by Tara (ahollywoodslayer)
The one, the only, TARA! I am so excited to have her in this game. This bitch has game. Amazing socially, smart strategically, challenge beast. Another complete package player. She is very busy, though, so that might hinder her. But if she is able to play her best, she will be one of the biggest threats to win.
Why She'll Win: She is cutthroat, shrewd, and not afraid to make big moves. I hope she gets to work her magic. She often plays the same way, to win, and I love that.
Why She Won't: If she's discovered, she will be taken out. And if she cuts too many throats, she'll lose because of that.
Joaquin Souberbielle - Played by ? (Sassy.Courtney)
The only person in here whose real name I do not know. Joaquin is definitely someone to keep a look out for. Smart, doesn't read people great but is intelligent and fun to talk to. I think he'll be a commanding presence on his tribe, because his tribe is rather weak. I think on the other tribes, he might have trouble, but on Parnu, I see him going far.
Why He'll Win: He's playing to win. He's made that clear. He's excited to start. He's more passionate than most of these players are going in. That could be a big help.
Why He Won't: I think his dislike for some of his tribemates could cost him if one of them takes power.
John Rocker - Played by Oliver (erihuffman)
Yes, this is Oliver. He replaced my friend John Poe, who had a meltdown yesterday and decided not to play. Erihuffman usually plays the same way - Make a majority alliance day 1, beast at puzzles, and then be antisocial. I've never seen him do anything different and I see this happening again here.
Why He'll Win: He won't.
Why He Won't: He tends to try and seize too much control too fast. People tend to be turned off by this. I see this happening here.
Johnny Damon - Played by Patrick (BuckeyeCountry04)
One of my closest friends from my old Internet SPorts Talk Show days. Patrick is a great guy and fun to be around. He is very busy however adjusting to his new life in Boise. I think Johnny, out of the three true newbies (Kenny, Arman, and him) has the best chance of going far. Patrick has that type of personality that people tend to gravitate towards. He also seems very excited to get to play as Johnny Damon as he is a diehard Red Sox fan, so he will always have a special place in his heart for Johnny Damon. I'm excited to see how he'll play. I don't really know how he will, but I think he'll do decently. With the right breaks, he could win.
Why He'll Win: He's the new guy and he's likable. That could help him go deep.
Why He Won't: He's a newbie and very busy. So he may be cut before he gets a chance to really get a bearing on what he's supposed to do.
Kat Yee - Played by Kathleen (kaejoncas)
One of my best friends! Love me some Kathleen Joncas. She's my slut. She's a great person, but not the greatest player. She usually can last a decent amount of time on social game, but strategically and physically she tends to fizzle. She also often relies on preexisting relationships, and she doesn't have those here. I want to see her do well, but I don't see her lasting long. SHe's also ill right now, which could hurt her as well.
Why She'll Win: Kathleen does have a fun personality and likes to talk and get to know people. On the tribe she is on, I think she can take control if she does not get sick.
Why She Won't: Again, ther eisn't a ton to her as a player even if she's a rockstar as a person. Other players here are simply better, and less busy.
Lisi Linares - Played by Justin (Realityfan227)
More frequently a mini player than an ORGer, Justin is a guy who likes to have fun and have a good time. I think if he is able to commit the time and show up for challenges, he'll last awhile. He's never one to take things too seriously and I think in a game full of players going full throttle, I think that'll be a breath of fresh air. I don't see her winning the game, but I see her going a decently long way if she is able to find a niche. I think her sense of humor will let her hang around.
Why She'll Win: Lisi is aloof, but she is not stupid. She is smart. She can come off as apathetic but she isn't. I think if she gets to the end it would take a lot of people by surprise.
Why She Won't: If she struggles in challenges, or her apathy turns people off, she'll be toast.
Morgan McLeod - Played by Robert (robertcheeseball)
Yep, Robertcheeseball has made an appearance as Morgan. As a player, Robert can always be counted on for two things: Erratic gameplay and being a hot mess. As a host, he is a joy to have in your games because he will always make it interesting. He is bound to turn into an OTTN5 presence that will try and charge through the game headstrong. He tends to be bossy as well, but he's still likable from a personal standpoint. However, subtlety is not his strong suit. He will either go very far, or be the first person voted out.
Why She'll Win: Robert does have a charm about him even when he is being erratic and unpredictable. If he can keep himself in check long enough and not let things get under his skin, he could take the cake.
Why She Won't: I've seen Morgan keep her cool exactly once, and that was in MADHOUSE, where her game was frankly sloppy. To her credit, though, sloppy as it was, it worked for her and nearly won her the game.
Nikki Grahame - Played by Zach (sohistud)
One of the most seasoned playrs in this cast, I love Zach as a person and player. Zach also can make the most out of the least, which is a special quality. He can have a 1 hour chat with you and you'll never want to vote him out. Zach's only potential bump in this game is that Zach is used to using his non-alias account to exploit preexisting relationships and use them to pad his foothold in the tribe. Zach also tends to enjoy finding peons and pawns to blindly follow him. He isn't going to find that in this game. There isn't a lot of cannon fodder to go around in this game, so I'm excited to see how he changes his strategy knowing his opponents are closer to his level. Zach is definitely a top contender if he does not get deterred by his poor challenge ability.
Why She'll Win: The 47-time winner knows how to work a social game. He has almost Kim Spradlin or Parvati-like social ability. As long as he performs adequately in the challenges, he will do fine.
Why She Won't: Nikki might run into some trouble if she tries to order people around and tell them to blindly do her bidding, which she's used to being able to do seamlessly.
Priya Malik - Played by Heather (YamiSetsu)
HEATHER! <3 First off I have to start by saying Heather I love you. Also known as the Back to Basics Host, Heather has been around for eternity in these ORGs. She is a great person and usually a loyal ally. Usually she does not have the strategic strength to go deep, but she is smart, kind, funny, and very go-with-the-flow, which tends to allow her to go far into the game while the big personalities duke it out with each other. If she employs that strategy here, I see her lasting.
Why She'll Win: She will not ruffle feathers and she should last, especially on the seemingly cannon fodder and very loyal-player filled Parnu tribe.
Why She Won't: She usually makes enough alliances and bonds to make the merge, but tends to usually not make the deep connections needed to coast into the end game, largely due to her work schedule.
Robbie E Strauss - Played by Alex (tempurt12)
BLACK ALEX/Baldwin from Starz/ORGer of over a decade. I love me some Alex. Great guy, fun to talk to, an absolute character. I expect him to bring it here. He has never won an ORG and wants to win one badly. He always goes deep and comes close, but usually makes a critical error, trusting the wrong person late. We'll see if he can break that pattern here today and take the title.
Why He'll Win: He is a genuinely nice person and people will love him.
Why He Won't: HE sometimes falls into the trap of only talking to people he is aligned with, and not making the effort to give himself as many strategic and social options as he can.
Rupert Boneham - Played by Arman (NO AIM)
Arman! One of my closest friends in real life. I'm actually gonna be inviting him to my graduation/Going Away party in a few weeks. That being said, he told me his work and school schedule is absolutely terrible this week, and so far that's held true. He told me he should make the challenge tomorrow, but if his tribe doesn't win, he might not get a shot to see what he can do. He has never watched Survivor or played an ORG, and I hope as a newbie he gets a chance to play, especially because if he doesn't it will be something out of his control.
Why He'll Win: Frankly, I don't see him winning. But I hope he surprises me.
Why He Won't: His schedule is busy and he's definitely a fish out of water, especially on this tribe.
Sean Rector - Played by Rose (iamsovrycool)
AKA the Sausage Host. AKA Brett. AKA Troll in some circles. Rose is a cool chick and she has a great sense of humor. She applied because she wanted to try something new, so I cast her as Sean Rector, and apparently she's choosing to play the role of a hood nigga. It's great to watch and I hope I get to see her take this far. She also openly admitted that she is going to play a laid back game, which is a rare approach in this day and age, so I am interested to see how her "laid back" approach will fit with the rest of the "go big" cast.
Why He'll Win: Sean is probbaly the loosest player in this cast. Sean is just here to have a good time and see what happens. That means he isn't afraid to make big moves, cut people loose, and play a wildcard game. As long as he doesn't play it like Sarah Lancaster, I think he will do well.
Why He Won't: Some people do not respect a "I do what I want" type of game. I think he could easily go deep. He is strategically strong, socially graceful, and pretty good in challenges, especially endurance.
