Thirty minutes until the first challenge. Things are pretty quiet in the Rakvere Tribe but I would be naive to think the pros aren't already scheming like me. This is my first rodeo but I am feeling modestly confident. I have gained verbal friendship with both Ian and Jen. Kind words of alliances are being spoken but talk is cheap. I will have a better idea of who i can trust when the votes start to fly. I have no reason to suspect anyone right now other than the obvious. Everyone here is in it for themselves so who knows how many alliances any given person has agreed to. Who is my number one man right now? Me. Don't take that the wrong way, I'm as loyal as they come, I am simply going to keep my options open until I see the proof in the pudding, I need to know these guys are going to vote with me. I don't want to go to tribal council any more than the next guy but it will help tell me where I stand and maybe I can let my gaurd down as long as my torch doesn't go out. Between Ian and Jen I think Ian will end up being my closest ally here. Just in a trust sense. Nothing wrong with Jen but she is online all the time and talks a lot, so to who else is she talking to? Consider this the vetting stage. This is merely my awareness talking. You must always be in condition yellow around here but I hope to break bread with these two all the way into the sunset. Hopefully more to come.

The challenge was exhausting. We were not successful but we didn't place last and that's what mattered. I hope the tribe recognized the work I put in. Cyndi really stepped up. She went in at the bottom of my list due to her lack of responding before things started but she came out as a committed, formidable ally. She was right there the whole time working hard all throughout the night with me. Nikki and silent Collin proved dedicated and helpful as well, the four of us discovered all of the passwords. I think I had 4, Nikki had 2 and Colin and Cyndi each got one but don't quote me on that. Ian stuck with us but did not impress me. I think Jen really let everyone down by showing up to the challenge hammered but she did stick with us and at least follow along even though she wasn't much help. That seemed to redeem her a bit in everyone's eyes but I don't like that my top two friends under-performed. I think it is time to get in good with the other three. As for Elavia and John they were nowhere to be found. It seemed like at the beginning Elaiva was going to be a big contributor so that was surprising. John has barley logged on or spoken a word so consider me the safest man on the island because between the two of them, I have a real nice buffer before things start getting hairy in camp Rakvere... as long as they don't start mixing up tribes already. - Clint signing off
PS I think I have a plan
